Warren Garden

Mr. Garden is the outside General Counsel for BP Energy Partners (BPEP) and its affiliates, and he has been practicing law for more than 35 years. 

Mr. Garden oversees substantially all of the legal matters relating to BPEP and its affiliates. His background and expertise are focused on investment fund formation, governance and regulatory compliance, mergers and acquisitions, securities financings, securities law compliance, and general corporate counsel.  

He is admitted to the bar in Texas and currently practices law at The Garden Law Group, a boutique corporate law firm located in Dallas, Texas, that he founded in 2020.  

Mr. Garden’s other professional experience includes the following: Founder and Partner of Block & Garden, LLP (Dallas, Texas); Principal of Fish & Richardson P.C. (Dallas, Texas); Director of the corporate/securities section of Kane, Russell, Coleman & Logan, P.C. (Dallas, Texas); Partner of Carrington, Coleman, Sloman & Blumenthal, L.L.P. (Dallas, Texas); Partner of Johnson & Gibbs, P.C. (Dallas, Texas); and Associate of Dorsey & Whitney LLP (Minneapolis, Minnesota).

Mr. Garden graduated with honors in 1984 from the University of Notre Dame with a BBA in accounting. He earned his JD from Harvard Law School in 1987.
